Ok so to start off with the bad things because I like ending things on a good note.
I loved the concept and the setting (because Italy) and I actually kind of enjoyed all the food descriptions and recipes even tho it made me hungry half the time. I liked the relationship between Wrath and Emilia. It was a pretty decent start at an enemies to lovers and the banter was also ok. Not the best I've read but also not the worst.
I found the whole Princes of Hell thing a little confusing which made it harder to know the severity of what was happening because I didn't really understand the context. I also didn't really care about what happened for pretty much the whole book until the last 5 pages. Thats when the plot really took a turn and unfortunately, when I read it, the second book was not out so I had to wait to find out what happened :(
I've heard that the second book is much better than the first so I will be reading that at some point (hopefully this month) and obviously reviewing it. Due to the fact (excuse my English brain) that it is October (and depending on how good the next book is) the series is definitely giving me Halloween vibes so I am excited to read the next one :)
⭐️⭐️⭐.5/5
