Book Rating Scale

I have created a book rating scale and explained what each star means. I will be using decimal points (mostly .5) in case I can't decide on one rating. I only go up to 5 stars because 1) I am too indecisive so having 10 possible ratings is too much for me and 2) it was easier finding explanations for rating if there's 5 stars instead of 10.

Also the rating is not always the same to how much I loved the book. Book ratings are more my analysis on the quality of the book, plot, characters, and writing style and I try to make it as objective as I possibly can.

⭐️ - just rlly bad books overall, spelling mistakes, trashy characters, plot holes, no substance, bad plot

⭐️⭐️ - grammatical error, formatting issues making it hard to read, a lot of cringe scenes/pet peeves, stupid plot

⭐️⭐️⭐️ - characters are very superficial and plot is pretty basic, nothing new, but not terrible

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - getting recommendations from me, missing one thing, if it’s not absolute perfection it goes here

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - top reads of the year, unique/interesting plot line, lovable characters, not predictable, amazing writing style
