Rival Radio by Kathryn Nolan

hi squad :) guess who's back

I want to start off by saying I loved this book. I read it a while ago so I don't exactly remember the mc's names, but the fmc and mmc had one of the healthiest relaitionshipis I've ever read.

The communication was so clear and they both just expressed their feelings and thoughts in a very mature and healthy way. (I can already tell I'm gona use healthy 5876 times in this review.) It was such a break from the usually kinda toxic behaviour that goes on in especially other romance books.

Another thing I rlly loved were the side characters. I feel like they brought so much fun and light to the story and it was rlly cool reading about them, especially the fmc's mom. They made the story seem so natural and real and relatable. I loved how the plot didn't rely on drama or betrayal to drive it forward; it was just a beautiful love story in a unique setting with fun characters. The radio setting was so cool since I've never read another book in that environment so it was fun to learn about.

My only meh thing about this book was the very beginning parts when they would just argue 24/7. It felt a little petty and immature and I had a hard time relating to it. After the first couple chapters were over, I just fell in love with both characters and their story.

I will say that after reading it, my standards flew sky high and I will not be accepting anything under them :)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5

Anyways, the end.
