Book Tabbing

Alexia

This may be a controversial topic so please don't attack me...

I don't really like to write on my books, but I love going back to read certain parts, so my compromise is to tab them with different coloured tabs. This not only makes it really easy to find exactly what parts I'm looking for, it also let's me write little notes on them (so I don't write on the book) and it looks really pretty!

When I first started tabbing my books, I would just use whatever colour would look good with what I already had. Don't get me wrong here, we stan aesthetics in this household, but we also stan organization, so I decided to assign a meaning to each colour which I will obviously share since I know every one is DYING to know ;) (I will also use different coloured emojis to do this because aesthetics is key)

💕=sweet moments (pink)

🌀= beautiful writing (dark blue)

💠= queen dialogue (light blue)

🍏= plot twist or moments that made me gasp (light and dark green)

🌕= funny stuff (yellow)

🍊 = new character (orange)

☂️= plot info (purple)

🎒= death (red)

Also, if I put a sticky note on the top of the page, that means the whole page is whatever the sticky note means, and if it's at the side of the page it means just the passage is whatever the sticky note means.

Alrighty so I really hope this helped you if you were looking to stat tabbing your books. Let me know what colours and meaning you choose to do!

Hello there! We are two high school students that love books and reading (you might say it has become an unhealthy obsession).
